Dr. Fitsum Abadi Gebreselassie
Dr. Fitsum Abadi Gebreselassie is an Associate Professor in the Department of Fish, Wildlife, and Conservation Ecology at New Mexico State University (NMSU). His research interests lie in the area of statistical ecology, with particular emphasis on capture-recapture models, integrated population models (IPMs), occupancy models, and Bayesian inference. His notable contributions include the development of IPMs to estimate the rate of immigration and to assess the strength of density dependence on vital rates and population growth rate of animal populations.
